McClain Hits in 20 Straight Games Thursday, April 11th, 2030 The Cincinnati Bearcats may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 2-0 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but Ron McClain continued to hit like a god. The first baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "McClain is playing great and is on fire right now," Bearcats manager Michael Nash said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." McClain was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Ron McClain singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. McClain is hitting .489 this year with 6 home runs and 13 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .566, 8 walks and scored 12 times. |
