Robinson Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle

Providence's Howard Robinson accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game.
For the day, Robinson finished 4-for-6 with 6 runs batted in and 3 runs scored and helped the Friars knock off the Southern California Trojans 18-10 at Dedeaux Field.
"I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Robinson told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout."
Howard Robinson flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Álvarez in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
Robinson is swinging at a .341 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 10 games.
