Commanders Shut Out Rainiers, Schmidt Winner Wednesday, September 18th, 2030 In a seemingly effortless performance, Mike Schmidt of the Colorado Commanders shot down the Seattle Rainiers 9-0 on a 3-hit shutout. "Mike was just locating so well and using his pitches," Colorado manager Brad Lewis said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Schmidt recorded 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Seattle manager Taro Kino said in his postgame comments to BNN.
