Pat Wright Sidelined for Season
Friday, September 13th, 2030
The doctors have spoken and Pat Wright of the Jasper Cougars didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wright sustained his season-ending injury during the Chula Vista Tacos game yesterday at Filibertos Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Jasper medical staff reported Wright had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8-9 months.

This year Wright has delivered 1 save. In 9 relief appearances, he has 86 strikeouts in 116.1 innings with a 5.18 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 5-8.
