Scorpions Shut Out Pilots, Harris Winner
Friday, October 4th, 2030
Perry Harris hurled a fine game for the Scottsdale Scorpions at Pilot Field today, holding the Pensacola Pilots to 2 hits in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Scottsdale manager Melvin Patterson said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The left-hander had 7 strikeouts and 4 walks in the 2-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," Pensacola manager Peter McNeill said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
This year Harris has posted a record of 1 win and 6 losses with a 5.26 ERA. He has appeared in 16 games and struck out 75 in 65 innings.
