APL (24 & Under) Pitcher of the Month Goes to García Tuesday, October 1st, 2030 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Orlando García, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Detroit Dirty Snow reliever, 20, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .167 average and walked away with the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Month award for September. García posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.93 ERA in 8 relief appearances. In 23.1 innings, he had no saves, 37 strikeouts, and 9 walks. On the season García has delivered 7 saves in 38 relief appearances. He has 131 strikeouts in 88.1 innings with a 2.85 ERA and a 7-2 mark. |
