Pilots Ashley Lost for Year

Jason Ashley has to call it a season. The Pensacola Pilots left fielder sustained a season-ending injury against the Nashua Redlegs and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Ashley was injured while making a defensive play. His doctors diagnosed it as a broken bone in the elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months.
In 21 games this season Ashley is batting .343 with 24 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 11.
