Red-Hot Gallegos APL (24 & Under) Player of the Week Monday, August 5th, 2030 With some great hand-eye coordination and a sweet, compact swing, Beaverton Bronze Souls second baseman Cisco Gallegos took the Appalachian League by storm this past week to take the latest Player of the Week honors. "The ball was looking like a beach ball all week," a happy Gallegos said to BNN reporters. "When it's that big, it doesn't matter where they throw it -- I can hit it anywhere." The 19-year-old second baseman hit .560 (14-for-25) last week with no home runs, 0 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Posting a .335 batting average to date, Gallegos has 1 home run and 13 RBIs. |
