Grey Sox MacDonald Lost for Year
Saturday, July 20th, 2030
The season is finished for Michael MacDonald of the Montgomery Grey Sox. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Grey Sox reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Nashua Redlegs. Team doctors said it would take at least 9 months to heal.
This season MacDonald has chalked up 1 save, notched a 2-3 record with a 4.56 ERA, allowed 56 hits in his 53.1 innings of work, struck out 45 and walked 33. Opponents are hitting .269 against the Montgomery hurler.
