Sánchez Selected MWL (24 & Under)'s Best Player Monday, October 14th, 2030 At the age of 19, Ramón Sánchez of the Grim Reapers could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2030 was good enough to win the left fielder the Midwest League Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .287 batting average this year, as well as a .368 on-base percentage. He played 113 games and racked up 125 hits, 21 doubles, 3 triples, 39 home runs, 107 RBIs and 86 runs scored. Phil Martin of the Grim Reapers finished second in voting, while Lou Hammond of the Minnesota Death Stars finished third. |
