Week's Top Player: Wilmington's Dawson Monday, September 9th, 2030 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Eastern League, but last week Henry Dawson of the Wilmington Rebels reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Dawson rocked opposing pitching for a .387 average (12-for-31), 4 home runs and 12 RBIs to come away with the award. In 129 games this season Dawson is batting .275 with 129 hits and 41 home runs. He has scored 107 runs and driven in 132. |
