Armstrong Rips Newark for 5 Hits
Thursday, August 29th, 2030
Bobby Armstrong put on a hitting clinic today as the Kingston Iguanas dumped the Newark Bulldogs 13-2 at Ballpark of Coaling.
The Kingston third baseman made Newark defenders earn their pay, lashing Newark pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Armstrong said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Bobby Armstrong hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Carl Rojas in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
Armstrong is hitting .364 this year with 3 home runs and 29 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .429, 9 walks and scored 7 times.
