Alex Pruitt handcuffed the Kingston Iguanas at Paul Owens Stadium today, coming away with a 3-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Reading Rainbows right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Pruitt had little trouble with the Iguanas and led the Rainbows to victory, 6-0. He recorded 10 strikeouts and 3 walks in an impressive performance.
In 10 starts this season, Pruitt has picked up 5 wins while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 117 innings, allowed 108 hits, struck out 152 and posted a 5.23 ERA.
