5-Hit Blitz by Sánchez
Monday, August 5th, 2030
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Miguel Sánchez is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Rio Grande Rattlesnake at Le Parc today. The monster effort from the 22-year-old third baseman helped the Butler White Sox take the win, 14-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Rattlesnake manager Raúl Ortega. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Miguel Sánchez flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Sterling Caldwell in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
This season Sánchez is batting .420 with 42 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 25 times and has 23 RBI.
