Ruíz Shuts Out Reading Sunday, July 14th, 2030 Andrés Ruíz hurled nothing but zeros at the Reading Rainbows in an impressive outing at Amish Town today. The Intercourse pitcher allowed 2 hits, fanned 7 and walked 1 in blanking Reading, 5-0. "There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout today," Reading manager Armando Mateo said. "Not a fun day." This season Ruíz has chalked up no saves, notched a 3-5 record with a 6.55 ERA, allowed 77 hits in his 66 innings of work, struck out 68 and walked 24.
