Bartolo Rivera put together a very solid month to take home the Southern League's top pitching honor in August. The 23-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 14 relief appearances he raked in 9 saves and 15 strikeouts in 13.2 innings as he put together his 3-0 record and 3.29 ERA. To date in 68 relief appearances, Rivera has recorded 32 saves while posting an ERA of 2.96 and 90 strikeouts in 73 innings pitched. His totals for the year also include 11 wins and 3 losses. |
