Morán Week's #1 Player Monday, August 19th, 2030 22-year-old Albert Morán made a few Memphis headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Southern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Morán collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 10 runs. In this current campaign Morán is hitting at a .354 clip with 5 home runs and 24 RBIs. |
