Ruíz Selected SNL (28 & Under)'s Best Pitcher Thursday, August 1st, 2030 Over the past month António Ruíz has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Southern League. He proved all that and now he's been named July's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Wichita Wranglers posted 4-1 mark and a 3.13 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 37.1 innings, permitted 33 hits and fanned 44 batters. Thus far this season, Ruíz has worked 145.2 innings with 151 strikeouts en route to a 10-8 record and a 2.97 ERA. |
