2030 Top Player Honored By NWL (28 & Under)

Steve Burton took Northwest League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.
For his spectacular campaign, the Red Deer Wranglers star has been named the 2030 Northwest League Outstanding Hitter Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the shortstop.
On the season he compiled a .301 batting average to go with a .399 on-base percentage. The native of Manhattan Beach, California also added 19 doubles, 5 triples, 37 home runs, 105 RBIs and 103 runs scored.
Jorge Olvera of the Red Deer Wranglers finished second in voting, while Alan Moore of the Bismark Border Guards finished third.
