Star of the Week Honored in NWL (28 & Under) Monday, September 16th, 2030 26-year-old Richard Brooks made a few San Diego headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Northwest League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .643 average. Brooks collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. For the season Brooks is batting .269 with 122 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 82 times and batted in 76. |
