Brooks Smacks 5 Hits for Smashers Thursday, September 12th, 2030 All game long, San Diego's Richard Brooks was rattling the walls at Tilley Field and banging out base hits against the Balzac Rams. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Smashers had a 17-2 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 26-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Richard Brooks hit an RBI triple in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
