Farķas Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, September 10th, 2030 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Alfredo Farķas did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Roger Maris Field today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 24-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Bismark Border Guards beat the Moose Jaw Ghostbusters 5-1 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Farķas told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Bismark clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Alfredo Farķas singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This season Farķas has banged out 106 hits in 387 at-bats for a .274 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .348 pace and his totals also include 47 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
