Star of the Week Honored in NWL (28 & Under) Monday, September 9th, 2030 26-year-old Ray Rogers made a few San Diego headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Northwest League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .520 average. Rogers collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. In this current campaign Rogers is hitting at a .295 clip with 14 home runs and 82 RBIs. |
