Barons Snap Aliaga's Streak at 20 Tuesday, September 3rd, 2030 It just wasn't Esteban Aliaga's day. The Casper Ghosts took the 11-1 win today over the Bismarck Barons, but the Barons mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 20-game hitting streak of Ghosts center fielder Esteban Aliaga. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Aliaga," Bismarck manager José Martínez commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Ghosts have other hitters and they did their job today." This season Aliaga has banged out 118 hits in 369 at-bats for a .320 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .382 pace and his totals also include 56 RBIs and 87 runs scored. |
