Everyone, that is, except the Las Vegas Stars. "We knew we would win it," said Las Vegas right fielder Júlio Salazar, after his team edged the competition to win the division by one game. "It might have been an extremely close race, but I don't think our players ever lost faith that we would get the job done." The club got the job done on the strength of a 103-59 record, which earned Las Vegas its 8th division title. The team will be seeking the 4th PCL Championship in franchise history. "We're also confident about our chances in the playoffs," Salazar added. "Don't count us out." |
