Newman Records Shutout Against Cowboys Friday, September 13th, 2030 Dustin Newman of the Spokane Trappers was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 8-0, against the Calgary Cowboys. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Spokane manager Tommy Hunt. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Newman had 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in the outing.
