Barrett Hits for Cycle Against Vancouver
Friday, September 13th, 2030
At The Viper Nest today, Chris Barrett led District 9 to a 10-0 victory over the Vancouver Vipers by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.

"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Barrett said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."

In addition to going 4-for-6, Barrett chalked up 6 runs batted in and scored 2 runs in an exceptional performance.

Chris Barrett hit a two-run home run off Sebastián Cervantes in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

So far this season Barrett has gotten 68 hits in 204 at-bats for a .333 batting average with 13 home runs. His stats include 54 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 49 games.
