This Week's Star Player is Concepción Monday, August 26th, 2030 22-year-old Esteban Concepción made a few Mexico City headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacific Coast League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .524 average. Concepción collected 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 9 runs. So far this season Concepción is batting .290 with 11 home runs. |
