Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Texarkana Saturday, August 24th, 2030 It has been a woeful season for the Texarkana Bears and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Chris Hall. "And nothing broke our way this year." The Bears have missed the playoffs 8 times in their 23 years as a Pacific Coast League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2027. In the last 10 seasons, the Bears have missed the playoffs 4 times. Texarkana last won the PCL Championship in 2022. |
