Tuesday, August 13th, 2030
Houston Hammertime bombardier Francisco Cardenas set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 16-1 win over the San Jose Missions today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Cardenas told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Houston first baseman had 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 8, and scored 3 runs.
Francisco Cardenas hit a three-run home run off Francisco Arellano in the 1st, grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jesús Zapata in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Terry Adams in the 9th.
This season Cardenas is batting .350 with 173 hits and 30 home runs. He has scored 117 times and has 105 runs batted in.
