Hot Bat Cooled, Henley Hitless Against Barons Saturday, June 29th, 2030 The Birmingham Barons did something to Dave Henley no team had done for the last 22 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Bats, who came away with the 4-2 victory at Regions Field. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 26-year-old second baseman said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted." So far this year Henley is batting .388 with 11 home runs, 53 RBIs and 75 runs scored. |
