Zúñiga's Hit Streak Over Thursday, June 6th, 2030 Havana Rollers center fielder António Zúñiga finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Zúñiga was unable to make anything happen in 2 at-bats today against the Detroit X-Wings. Fortunately for Zúñiga and the Rollers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 9-1. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." Presently Zúñiga is batting .474 and has collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs, .553 OBP and scored 12 runs. |
