António Zúñiga has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 32-year-old Havana Rollers center fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-4 as Havana got the best of the Detroit X-Wings at Saddlehorn Stadium, 5-4.
"António has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Rollers manager Ethan Larson said. António Zúñiga grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
So far this season Zúñiga has gotten 18 hits in 36 at-bats for a .500 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 7 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 9 games.
