At Delorimier Stadium today, the Louisville Bats first baseman burned Richmond pitching, going 5-for-5 in a 15-4 Louisville triumph. "When he's on his game," Louisville skipper Luis García told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Eduardo Gómez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Orlando Díaz in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 8th. This season Gómez has banged out 154 hits in 402 at-bats for a .383 average with 35 home runs. He is getting on base at a .453 pace and his totals also include 107 RBIs and 87 runs scored.
