Blueville Loses Márquez for Year Thursday, September 12th, 2030 Jorge Márquez of the 83's just might have to call it quits for the season. The 34-year-old Blueville shortstop received a possible season-ending injury against the Chattanooga Chinpokomon recently at Leadwood Grounds. Márquez suffered a fractured ankle while running the bases. The 83's medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 months. This season Márquez has banged out 104 hits in 308 at-bats for a .338 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .411 pace and his totals also include 37 RBIs and 55 runs scored. |
