Thompson Week's Top Player Monday, September 9th, 2030 So far in his young career, Wes Thompson has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the International League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Trenton Stars right fielder hit at a torrid .423 clip as he collected 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. For the season Thompson is batting .316 with 155 hits and 35 home runs. He has scored 95 times and batted in 133. |
