Hits Blitz for Flairs Jones Monday, August 12th, 2030 It was a special day for Roland Jones at East End Park today. Not only did Jones's Richmond Flairs beat the Portland Privateers 9-0, but the center fielder hit for the cycle along the way. The 31-year-old Jones racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 4 runs batted in and 1 run scored. "He hit everything we threw," said Privateers manager Lewis Barker. "There was just no getting him out today." Speaking to the press after the game, Jones said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs." "I got some good looks today," he said. Roland Jones hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dennis Grange in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
