Swap: Penni for Cherena Monday, December 2nd, 2030 Pocatello and Kansas City announced today in a joint press conference that 31-year-old RHP Dionisio Penni will be going to the Kings in exchange for 23-year-old minor league RF Luis Cherena, 24-year-old minor league CF Jason Smith and 22-year-old minor league 2B Tom Stewart. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. In his lifetime, the 31-year-old Penni has won 99 and lost 53, piling up 1200 strikeouts with a 3.64 ERA. Opponents have hit .257 against him. |
