Deal: Mendoza for Rijo Monday, December 2nd, 2030 The Baseball News Network is reporting that Nevada and Austin have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 19-year-old minor league 3B Luis Sotelo, 22-year-old minor league RHP Dan Ramsey, 22-year-old minor league C José Acevedo and 21-year-old minor league LHP Alonso Mendoza to the River Sharks with 30-year-old RHP António Rijo and 26-year-old SS José Liñares joining the Noise. Nevada general manager Michael Branda would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. Austin will retain a portion of Rijo's remaining contract. In his career Rijo has gone 106-66 with an ERA of 3.21, picking up 1184 strikeouts in 1439.1 innings pitched. |
