CL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Monday, November 11th, 2030 2030 was a year to remember for José Valdéz. The Springfield Stars reliever was the owner of a 2.62 ERA this season over 86 innings of work. He made 71 relief appearances and had 48 saves, 110 strikeouts, 20 walks and a record of 4 wins and 8 losses. He's also now got some hardware, as the 33-year-old has been named the Continental League Reliever of the Year Award winner. "It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said. Huang Chen of the St. Louis Browns finished second in voting, while Cristián Escobar of the Springfield Stars finished third. |
