Saltines Grabs NL Reliever of the Year Award
Monday, November 11th, 2030
When Raśl Saltines jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs.
The Irvine Gang Green reliever turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the National League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2030.
His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 30 saves in 86 relief appearances, 179 strikeouts in 147.2 innings and only 32 walks. He had a record of 6 wins and 4 losses to go with his 1.71 ERA.
"I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said.
Mike Murray of the Orlando Calrissian finished second in voting, while Tony Rocha of the Kenilworth Aces finished third.
