Sánchez's 27-Game Hit Streak Ends
Tuesday, September 24th, 2030
Late in the game, all eyes in Agent 47 Field were on Arturo Sánchez as he stepped into the batter box. His 27-game hitting streak was on the line, and he had a zero in the hit column on the day. Sadly for Sánchez, it was not meant to be -- the zero would stay and the streak would end.

If there was a silver lining for Sánchez today, it was that his New Orleans Looters won the game anyway, stopping the Hendersonville Hitmen by the score of 7-1.

"Winning took some of the disappointment out of it," Sánchez told reporters in the clubhouse. "Looking back on it, it was a great experience. Not too many players can say they had a hit in 27 straight games. It's something I will always remember."

Sánchez is currently batting .333 with 21 home runs, 103 RBIs and 114 runs scored. He has 211 hits in 633 at-bats.
