Figueroa Hits in 40 Straight Games Sunday, September 22nd, 2030 Júlio Figueroa, catcher for the Pocatello Bellas, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 40 games with 1 hit in his club's 7-0 victory today over the Seattle Pikes at Pikes' Point Stadium today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Seattle manager Tim Wilson said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Júlio Figueroa flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. This year Figueroa is batting .386 with 186 hits, 12 home runs, 90 RBIs, 43 walks, .434 OBP and has scored 89 runs. |
