Figueroa Hits in 39 Consecutive Games

Júlio Figueroa's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Pocatello. The 30-year-old catcher extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 39 games with a 3-for-5 performance against the Seattle Pikes. The Bellas took the game, 4-3.
"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Júlio Figueroa grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
Thus far this season Figueroa is hitting .388 with 12 home runs, 88 RBIs and 89 runs scored. He has 185 hits in 477 at-bats and has played in 118 games.
