Jeff Daniels discovered that today at Bay View Park, as he smashed three home runs during the 19-7 Irvine Gang Green win over the San Francisco Bandits. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Irvine designated hitter said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Daniels finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 8 RBIs. Jeff Daniels hit a solo-shot off Miguel García in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Miguel García in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Brad Sharpe in the 8th. This season Daniels is batting .325 with 34 home runs. His totals include 127 RBIs and 94 runs scored. |
