Figueroa Hits in 37 Consecutive Games Wednesday, September 18th, 2030 Júlio Figueroa's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Pocatello. The 30-year-old catcher extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 37 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the El Dorado Oilers. The Bellas took the game, 6-1. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Júlio Figueroa singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this season Figueroa is hitting .383 with 12 home runs, 87 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has 179 hits in 467 at-bats and has played in 116 games. |
