Year Ends for Sancho Mendoza in New York Sunday, September 8th, 2030
The season is apparently over for Sancho Mendoza. The New York Knights medical staff informed the club that the closer will be out at least 9-10 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Mendoza was hurt in the game against Irvine while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This year Mendoza has delivered 24 saves. In 63 relief appearances, he has 57 strikeouts in 74.2 innings with a 4.94 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 4-5.
