Nassau's Allen Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Monday, September 2nd, 2030
Nassau Rockets first baseman Wilson Allen had a day to remember at Nassau Grounds today, ripping apart the El Dorado Oilers and sparking the Rockets to a 12-10 victory.
Allen wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Allen told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Wilson Allen hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tomás Molina in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off César López in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and walked in the 13th.
In this current campaign Allen is hitting at a .264 clip with 15 home runs and 30 RBIs.
