Villalobos Smacks 5 Hits for Rockets
Monday, September 2nd, 2030
It was a good day at Nassau Grounds. The Nassau Rockets whipped the El Dorado Oilers 12-10 and second baseman Jesús Villalobos showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-6 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Villalobos told BNN reporters after the game.
Rockets manager Ji-an Shaw told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 24-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Jesús hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Jesús Villalobos doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
Presently Villalobos is batting .247 with 5 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has played in 133 games and scored 47 times.
