National League Names Rookie of Month
Sunday, September 1st, 2030
Carter Sweet is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest National League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers.
In August the Philadelphia hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .354 average with 40 hits, 8 home runs and 20 RBIs.
So far this season Sweet is hitting .304 with 31 home runs, 72 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 122 hits in 401 at-bats and a .361 OBP.
